Year 12 School Leavers-Link and Launch Program

Dear Students, Parents, and Carers,

As we move through 2024, it’s hard to believe that Year 12 graduation is just around the corner!

We want to share important information about the post-school support available at Varsity College, through the support of Education Queensland’s, Link and Launch Program.

Link and Launch Program

Link and Launch is specifically designed to assist Year 12 graduates who are not currently engaged in education, employment, or training. This program helps students explore their options and find the best path for their transition.

Support is offered for up to two years after graduation and is completely free and voluntary. Even if a young person has casual employment but seeks assistance for a new opportunity, they can still access this support.

Our dedicated officer, Amy Dixon, works four days a week and is ready to assist with a variety of transitions, including:

  • Free apprenticeships for those under 25
  • Fee-Free TAFE courses
  • Skilling Queenslanders for Work programs
  • Alternative pathways to university
  • Employment opportunities
  • Federal incentives and programs like Transition to Work

Amy can begin working with students as soon as the day after they graduate, and she will reach out to those who have shared their details in January 2025.
If you have any questions or need further information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Amy.
