Traineeship Opportunities for Year 10 students – last call for Term 4!

Calling all Year 10 students wanting to begin a traineeship studying a Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics & Recreation.

Available Traineeship Opportunities;

  • Miami Aquatic Centre – Monday, Tuesday and Fridays
  • Rackley Swimming Robina – Tuesday and Wednesday


Within the program, students will work towards a Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics & Recreation, gaining real-world experience in swim school management, aquatic operations, and customer service, all while still attending school. The program is open to students who are 16 years old or turning 16 soon.

  • Duration: typically 12-18 months  
  • Learning Requirements: Students will complete 15 Study Units with our partner RTO 
  • Industry Experience: 563 hours of paid, on-the-job work experience  
  • Industry Qualifications: CPR, First Aid, Swim Teaching, and the opportunity to become a qualified Pool Lifeguard.
  • QCE: Successful completion of the Certificate III earns students up to 8 QCE credits!

Trainees will gain invaluable hands-on experience across swim school operations, facility management, and customer service, preparing them for future employment within the Aquatics Industry and wider workforce.  As a part of completing the Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics & Recreation, students will become First Aid and Swim Teaching qualified, ensuring their employability upon completion. With the option to also become a qualified Pool Lifeguard!
