Last week, 180 of our brave Year 7 cohort battled the weather, their will and the wet to endure and overcome the gruelling 9km of the RAW challenge course in what is the second of 3 activities in our Year 7 adventurous journeys experience this year.
Shoes were lost, mud was thrown and resilience was challenged throughout the day, however after crossing the finish line, it was evident just how valuable the experience was for both our students and our staff.
After a hot shower and a feed, it was lovely to hear student stories of triumph through adversity and the pride expressed from students that didn’t believe it was possible for them to achieve such physical feats.
Staff were also very keen to be involved and we had the support of classroom teachers, Heads of Department, Guidance Officer, Dean of Students and our year 7 & 8 Deputy Principal all getting into the action. A great day was had by all!
