Fifty-seven of our Varsity College Athletes Development Program (ADP) students from Years 7–9 recently enjoyed an unforgettable three-day camp at the Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct. Despite a little wind and rain throughout the camp, students embraced challenges with enthusiasm and a positive attitude, making the camp a tremendous success.
Across the three days, students participated in a range of exciting outdoor activities including bodyboarding, the giant swing, archery, beach games, fishing, low ropes, catapults and yabbying. The camp provided countless opportunities for students to step outside their comfort zones (including camp food), work collaboratively, develop leadership skills and strengthen friendships (including secret friends). While every activity was enjoyed, the Giant Swing, Bodyboarding, Archery and Yabbying were voted the standout favourites by students.
The camp was about much more than adventure, with students demonstrating the Varsity College values of respect, responsibility and teamwork while developing confidence, communication and problem-solving skills in a supportive environment.
A special thank you to Ms Lee, Miss Whitrod and Mr Riley for generously giving up their time to supervise and support our students throughout the camp. Their commitment and enthusiasm made this incredible experience possible.
Congratulations to all 57 students for representing Varsity College with pride and making the 2026 ADP Adventure Camp a memorable success. Go Vikings!
