This week the Varsity College Aspire Athlete Development Program trial was held on the senior campus.
70 students registered to take part in the trial which serves as a key factor in selecting the Yr 7 ADP class for the following year.
Students progress through several fitness challenges which align to a variety of components of fitness relevant to athletes. The students participated with superb enthusiasm and effort , giving their all and encouraging their fellow trialists.
The session ended with some very lucky trail attendees winning the sporting equipment lucky draw and all students receiving some fruit, water and snacks for their hard work.
The Athlete Development teaching team will now go through the process of combining fitness testing data with sporting portfolios and schooling records, to determine the class for next year.
We would like to thank all the teachers who gave up their own time to make this trial a success as well as the ADP captains and current ADP student helpers all who made the event run very smoothly.
