On 25 June, selected students from Year 5 attended the ‘Cutting Edge for Kids STEM Challenge Day’ at Griffith University. All students participated in conference sessions and were immersed in hands-on STEM challenges including: using diluted hydrochloric acid to mimic the digestive system and create faeces; using reflection of light to shine a laser beam from one side of a box to the exit point at the other side of the box; and solving a mystery by analysing blood samples using anti A, B and Rh solutions. Thank you to Jamie Pridham.
