In Term 1 our First Nations students in Year 4-6 participated in the Deadly Choices Healthy Lifestyles Education program.
As a response to the disproportionate rate of Chronic Disease in Indigenous Australians, Deadly Choices, with the support of the Queensland Government, have developed the Healthy Lifestyle Campaign. This program promotes healthy lifestyle choices to enhance health literacy and to prevent chronic disease developing in this generation, and future generations, of young Indigenous Queenslanders.
The students absolutely loved this program and are really looking forward to the next program beginning in Term 3.
