Year 12 Biology students attended an excursion to Numbinbah Valley Education Centre during week 2. This involved collecting various types of abiotic data to determine the characteristics of the ecosystem in order to classify it. The students were able to link their observations to understand the interconnectedness of the living and non-living components of our native forests.
Fortunately, the rain held off and we had a beautiful day outdoors. The students were exceptional in the way that they conducted themselves both as amateur ecologists and as ambassadors of Varsity College.
