On Saturday the 5th June, our 15km and 30km Kokoda Challenge teams set off in Brisbane’s D’Aguilar National Park.
The Kokoda Challenge is one of Australia’s toughest team endurance events which raises money for Aussie kids in the Kokoda Youth Foundation. Special mention to our amazing teachers in the Brisbane Kokoda Challenge event, Mr Garland, Mr Sochanik and Ms De Britt (who has supported two teams this year one in the Brisbane 30km and another coming up in the Gold Coast 96km event).
Team Varsity Adventurous received special mention on the day, as one of the top school team fundraisers for the event. Varsity College’s own Year 9 student Evie Atkins is ranked 3rd Australia wide on the Kokoda fundraising individual leader board personally raising $2,012 for the event.
This has been an amazing experience for all participants.
