  • Sunday 18 August at Gatton campus.

Upcoming Events at University of Queensland

Young ChangeMakers Program

Year 11 students are invited to apply for this 4-day on-campus experience. Interactive workshops and keynote lectures aim to ignite passions for leadership, academic enrichment, and community development.

UQ Ready

Year 12 students and parents are invited to join UQ information nights to gain insights and tools for a seamless transition to university life.

UQ Ramsay Undergraduate Scholarships

Applications are now open for one of Australia’s most generous scholarships. Thirty scholarships valued at $32,000 per year for up to five years of study are open to Year 12 school leavers who intend to undertake an extended major in Western Civilisation in 2025 in the Bachelor of Advanced Humanities (Honours) or Bachelor of Humanities/Bachelor of Laws (Honours)

Changes to UQ’s music offerings

As of next year, UQ will introduce a new 3-year Bachelor of Music, replacing the 4-year Bachelor of Music (Honours).
This modernised curriculum includes music technology, practice-led courses, private lessons, and ensemble performances. Students will gain the skills and knowledge for careers in composing, playing, researching, or teaching music.

New Science Communication minor

A minor in Science Communication is now available in the Bachelor of Science, Advanced Science (Honours), Biotechnology, and Mathematics programs.
Students will gain the skills to present complex scientific information to diverse audiences, preparing them for roles as content creators, education officers, editorial assistants, and policy advisors in STEM.
