Q Cup AFL Competition 2019

We couldn’t be prouder with the way our boys and girls represented themselves and our college last Tuesday in the AFL Q Cup.

Apart from one blemish which saw our boys go down to the eventual grand finalists, we dominated the rest of our three games to finish 3rd overall on the day. Our team consisted of numerous club players who relished the chance to show off their skills and a number of first timers who used their rugby backgrounds to aggressively hunt the ball carrier.

The girls AFL Q Cup side exceeded all expectations by winning their way through to the second round of the competition. With only one player boasting any experience at all, it was thought that it would be a fun day out of the classroom and some good experience for our year 5 students, we were wrong! Half way through the first game the girls transformed into a super team. They had convincing wins against all four of our opposition teams and progress through to the next round with an undefeated record.
