We recognised and celebrated Reconciliation Week in Week 6 on both campuses. Alongside focus lessons in class, the primary students celebrated at the Lions Tuesday Breakfast Club by engaging in chalk art and colouring in. Community members from Krurungal joined in as well as student mentors from our secondary campus. The morning was topped off with our visitors walking through our Dream Time Garden and partaking in a lovely morning tea.
Our secondary campus celebrated on Friday with a Quad Care and Connect event involving indigenous art-making which culminated in a colourful and memorable banner of unity. Meaningful music played as students engaged in a great selection of books and enjoyed a sausage sizzle. Our secondary indigenous teacher made sure that all year levels received educational materials about this important date in the Australian calendar.
