We were incredibly lucky to sneak in our primary campus Pillar Assembly before the latest lockdown, celebrating the wonderful academic, sporting and community achievements of students with the added pleasure of families joining us to congratulate their students.
Amongst the years 4 – 6 cohorts, 77 students were awarded Academic Excellence achievements, 13 students recognised for their selfless work in the Community Pillar, and four students presented for their prowess in a sporting field.
Our secondary cohorts were not quite as fortunate, with restrictions putting a hold on large school assemblies.
In all, over 300 students received 4 or more ‘A’s on their semester one report, over 100 students improved their grades in at least 3 subject areas, 50 students excelled in sporting fields, 48 students undertook the rigours of the Kokoda Challenge, 18 students conquered in debating, and three students shone in a recent Language competition.
A special mention has to be made to year 7 student Pumindu Hetti Kankanange who accomplished an incredible 9 ‘A’s on their Semester One Report.
A massive congratulations to all recipients who will receive their certificates and badges via their Form Class in the coming week.
