For Science this term, Year 1 students have been learning all about ‘Changes all Around Us’.
In STEM the students have been working in teams to research, plan, design and build a model of a volcano.
After researching as a class, the students in their groups drew a diagram/plan of their volcano and created a papier mâché structure before painting and detailing the surrounding environment.
Next week students will be conducting an experiment. They are going to ‘erupt’ with excitement, as they ‘actively’ watch their volcanoes.
They’re going to ‘lava’ it!
