Year 6 to 7 ASPIRE Sport Trials for 2021 Programs

This week and last week witnessed over one hundred Year 6 students attend the Varsity Secondary College ASPIRE Sport (Athlete Development Program & Sport Specific) trials on the Secondary Campus.

The two trial afternoons were a huge success, with all participants putting in an ‘honest effort’ across a variety of fitness and skill challenges in the Varsity College sports hall and on the college oval.

The ASPIRE Sport programs pride themselves on producing quality student athletes and life-long learners, who can take the skills they learn within our program into their lives outside of school and long into the future. The programs offer targeted support to encourage students in reaching their full potential as athletes, whilst promoting academic success and instilling Varsity College’s CHAMPIONS OF CHARACTER values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Leadership.

On reflecting on the two days of trials, the programs are looking very bright for the future due to the great athleticism and skills that were on show over the two afternoons. Congratulations to all participants that attended the trials and we wish you all the very best for program selections in the coming weeks.
