This term the Year 9 ASPIRE Art & Media students sculpted self-portraits. Adding to the challenge of creating such large hollow forms in clay, the student rendered their own facial features, with incredible results.
They are now using underglaze ceramic paints to add symbolic imagery, reflective of their cultural or personal identity. The clay busts will soon be ready to be fired in the school kiln.
