This term, students in Aspire AMS Years 8-10 have all enjoyed their key excursions for the year. The Aspire AMS program embeds these events to provide students with rich, real world experiences related to the content that they are learning, as well as giving them opportunities to develop their skills in critical thinking, team work, and leadership.
This term our year 9 AMS classes were the first to experience a brand-new addition to the AMS program, the Year 9 Bond University Chemistry Experience Day.
We have collaborated with Bond University’s Health Science faculty to develop an engaging, enriching and hands-on set of experiences related to some of the Chemistry that students will learn about this year.
The two experiences that were enjoyed by students this year included Nylon Synthesis and Computational Compound Design.
