This week some of our Primary Campus student had the true privilege of meeting Sahil Jha from ‘Save Soil’ as he passes on his important global message of caring for our soil!

Sahil is cycling an incredible 20,000km across 4 continents as part of the Save Soil Conscious Planet campaign. His mission is to raise awareness about the global soil crisis, advocate for sustainable agricultural practices that can restore soil health and to educate our future generation.

Our students were astounded by the fascinating journey that he is on, learnt a lot about soil’s effect on nutrition levels in our food and realised that we all have to play our part in protecting this beautiful planet for our future. We wish Sahil great pedal power as he continues his journey through Australia!

We are pleased to have Councillor Dan Doran supporting our @varsitycollegepandc, as they were successful in receiving a $9,034 discretionary grant. We are grateful to have been selected and appreciate Cr Doran’s support in making a different for our students!

Today we held our Primary Campus Leadership Induction Ceremony. College Captains, House Captains, and Class Representatives alike were all recognised with the presentation of leadership certificates and badges.

Congratulations, we can’t wait to see the greatness you all bring to Varsity as leaders in 2025!

Last week, our students and staff across both campuses came together to connect through culture for Harmony Week!

Each day, our students engaged in a variety of regional activities on our Secondary Campus, while also being invited to wear traditional clothing of their cultural heritage on Wednesday.
Both campuses also had the pleasure of viewing a polynesian Dance, performed by our very own Secondary Students!

Next week, our very own Ayati Gor will be travelling to Old Parliament House, Canberra, where she will be among 120 year 11 and 12 students from around Australia attending the 30th National Schools Constitutional Convention (NSCC), being held at the Museum of Australian Democracy.

Ayati will spend two days hearing from experts as they debate the main issues relating to the topic ‘Revisiting Sections 51ii and 90 to Reimagine Australia’s Fiscal Federalism,' and vote in a mock referendum conducted by the Australian Electoral Commission. She will also get the opportunity to visit Parliament House, meet with the Governor-General, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC at Government House, and attend a dinner at the National Press Club of Australia.

Congratulations Ayati for this incredible achievement and we hope you enjoy your trip to the 2025 National Schools Constitutional Convention!

After a delayed start due to ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, today our College commenced NAPLAN for 2025, as students partake in a range of exams over the next week.

We wish all of our participating students the best of luck, we know you will do extremely well!

Recently, our Generation Green students from both our Primary and Secondary Campuses met to participate in the annual Clean up Australia Day event! Please enjoy as our students share their sustainability tips and tricks tor helping save our environment!

Clean up Australia has been running for over 30 years now, led by Ian Kiernan, AO, who had a simple idea to make a difference in his own backyard, now becoming the nation’s largest community-based environmental event! Varsity College is proud to prioritise this event in our yearly calendar so that our students appreciate the commitment we all need to make to keep our college beautiful and care for our surroundings.
