Today our Aspire Football athletes represented our College in the final round of the Schools Premier League Competition against Helensvale SHS! After a tough day battling it out on the pitch, our Senior Boys emerged victorious taking home a 4-3 win! Congratulations to all our Vikings for your hard work and dedication on the field, it truly shows.

This game was also a significant occasion, as it was the final school football game for our current Year 12 students. These students have been instrumental in our success over the years and we would like to sincerely thank all of our Seniors for their efforts. Their contribution has helped shape the success and culture of our football program, and we are extremely appreciative of everything they have given over the years!

Last term, Varsity College proudly participated in Robina Town Centre’s "Shop for Your School" campaign. We are thrilled to have been awarded 3rd place, receiving $2,500 to invest in student resources across our Primary Campus!

Recently, representatives from Robina Town Centre visited our college to present the cheque. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our families and community members whose participation helped make this achievement possible!

Our thrilling day brought to life many of the contact and non-contact force science concepts our students have been learning about so far. Now they head back to the classroom to apply their new knowledge in a series of force related games and scientific challenges!

Recently our Prep and Year 1 students had the pleasure of enjoying a magical performance of Puppets Come Alive by Timbarra Productions!

Through a delightful collection of classic fairy tales and nursery rhymes, students were captivated by colourful puppets, engaging storytelling, and interactive performances. The show brought beloved stories to life while encouraging imagination, participation, and a love of storytelling.

A highlight for many students was the opportunity to meet the puppets at the end of the performance, making it a memorable learning experience for everyone!

We’re extremely excited to announce that one of the most popular events on our College calendar is back in 2026.

Arts Under the Stars will return to our Secondary Campus on Friday, 9 October, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, for another evening celebrating music, art, film, drama, culture and, of course, food.

Enjoy performances on our Main Stage, explore our dedicated Art Hub, visit the Film Cinema and experience roving entertainment throughout the event.

For the first time, the event will also feature a dedicated Chinese precinct showcasing our College’s language program and celebrating Chinese culture through displays, activities and cuisine.

With international food trucks and entertainment for the whole family, Arts Under the Stars promises to be another unforgettable evening under the stars.

This week, our Secondary Campus welcomed back esteemed guest conductor, Mr. David Law, to work with our Varsity College Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Wind Ensemble and Concert Band, in intensive workshop sessions.

Mr. Law is a highly sought-after instrumental music pedagogue and conductor, who is regularly engaged to work with outstanding ensembles in Brisbane and across Queensland. He is the conductor of the Queensland Wind Orchestra (one of Australia’s leading wind bands) and the Queensland Youth Orchestras Wind Ensemble. Students were extended in a wide range of musical and technical areas, and all ensembles greatly benefited and improved in their performance and understanding.

We thank Mr. David Law for coming to work with our wonderful Instrumental Music students, and commend these students on their learning and outstanding progress made during these sessions!

Last week, our Instrumental Music Department presented ‘A Little Chamber Music’ (a la ‘A Little Night Music’) Concert on our Secondary Campus for families, students and visiting alumni. This event showcased our small ensembles such as Quartets and Trios, and provided a legitimate performance opportunity for students’ formal assessment requirements.

Many of the ensembles within our Chamber Music program have recently performed, or will soon be performing, in the Gold Coast Eisteddfod 2026. Congratulations and thank you to our amazing staff and students who made this event not only possible, but an incredible success!

A huge thank you to Cr Dan Doran and Hinterland Toyota Robina for helping our Primary Campus celebrate School Tree Day last Friday, where native trees were distributed to our Varsity families by Generation Green students!

Toyota representatives also brought along their latest electric vehicle, giving students an engaging opportunity to explore its environmental and sustainability features.

This weekend we're opening our doors for our Market Thrift Store Day, welcoming our friends, families and wider Varsity College community. With food trucks, refreshments and relaxing live music on offer throughout the morning, it's the perfect opportunity to browse for some unique finds while supporting a wonderful cause!

Join us this Saturday on our Secondary Campus as we open to the public from 8am to 12pm!

All money raised will be donated to YoungCare, our College’s chosen charity for 2026, with any physical donations remaining after the event being donated to Hearts of Purple, supporting families recovering from the effects of domestic violence.
