A round of applause as we congratulate seventeen of our most advanced musicians who in 2025, chosen from thousands of applications across the state have represented Varsity College in ‘Creative Generation’ and/or the ‘Honours Ensemble Program’!

Students involved in Creative Generation (CGEN) attended rehearsals in Brisbane and performed in the spectacular production, alongside other outstanding performers from State Schools across Queensland.

Representing Varsity College at a National, State, or Regional level, seventeen of our students performed in the 2025 Honours Ensemble Program. These students participated in an intensive large ensemble rehearsal and performance program with an esteemed conductor, and other advanced students from hundreds of schools.

A huge round of applause to our incredibly talented Creative Arts students for their outstanding performance in last week's Musical Theatre Medley Showcase!

Featuring numbers from Hairspray, Wicked and many more beloved musicals, the showcase was a sold out success that highlighted our students' incredible singing, dancing and acting talents!

A special congratulations also goes to Director Emily Jones and Choreographer Hayley Lugton for bringing their creative visions to life and guiding our performers to shine so brightly on stage!

Last week, our Primary Campus proudly hosted the StepLab Instructional Coaching Intensive, with coaching experts Ollie Lovell and Rory McCaughey, welcoming schooling leaders from all across South East Queensland.

This hands-on workshop blended evidence-informed theory with real-world practice. Coaches engaged in scripting, roleplaying, and receiving feedback to sharpen their skills and deepen their impact!

Recently, our Year 10 students participated in the RACQ Driver IQ Learner Program, exploring proactive approaches to support learner drivers and supervisors to 'boost' the minimum 100-hour driving experience.

Through this program, our students were encouraged to see every drive as a lesson that is intentional and personalised to their skill and experience.

Students also considered what it means to be a 'good mate' in the passenger seat, so that everyone in the car gets home safely.

We are proud to announce that Lola Ernest is representing Varsity College at the current ENERGIES Exhibition at HOTA!

For more than 30 years, ENERGIES has provided a platform for local senior secondary visual art students to exhibit their work in a professional gallery setting. Artists are selected from Gold Coast students based on individual merit and skill. ENERGIES showcases exemplary student work. Lola has shown exceptional skill and expressed personal ideas that have connected with audiences.

The exhibition will take place between the following dates Sat 13 Sep - Sun 9 Nov. Check out local emerging artists centre stage in HOTA Gallery 4!

This week, our Secondary Campus celebrated the creativity and talent of our amazing Year 7–12 students at our very own Art Exhibition, and what a fantastic afternoon it was!

Guests enjoyed a vibrant showcase of student artworks across a range of mediums, relaxed to beautiful live music, and shared light refreshments as we recognised the achievements of our young artists.

A huge congratulations to all our students for their creativity, hard work, and artistic vision; and thank you to everyone who joined us to make the day so special!
