Our Primary Campus Mother’s Day stall has returned for 2026 with the remainder of our students visiting tomorrow, ahead of the big day this weekend! Our P&C have been hard at work helping students find the perfect gift for the special caregivers in their lives.

This offering is made possible by the numerous smiling volunteers who repeatedly give their time and energy to helping the Primary students at Varsity College. As always, thank you for your time and dedication towards opportunities like this for our Students.

We wish all our families a wonderful day on Sunday, full of unity and gratitude for that special matriarchal lady in your life.

Last week our Secondary Campus welcomed Minister for Sport & Racing Tim Mander, Hermann Vorster MP and Ray Stevens MP to showcase how our College's ASPIRE programs are contributing to the state's sporting future.

During their visit, our esteemed guests met with students already excelling at a state and national level in their chosen sport, and with our youngest ASPIRE sport students coming through the ranks of our high-performance programs.

With our programs and talented sport stars of the future on show, and the Ministers' invaluable wisdom, encouragement, and guidance, we have no doubt our future alumni will be leading the way into the 2032 SEQ Olympic Games!

Across our college we have collectively raised over $15,000 towards blood cancer research and support, with that number still growing!

Thank you to @hermannvorstermp, @thedandoran and @raystevens.mp for your contributions and support for today's event! A special shoutout also goes to Hermann who jumped in the hot seat and participated in getting shaved for such a good cause!

This week our college celebrated Guidance Officer Appreciation Week, an opportunity to stop and recognise the incredible work of our Guidance team at Varsity College. We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated, compassionate and highly skilled group of Guidance Officers who play a critical role in the lives of our students and the overall wellbeing of our community.

Guidance Officers are often the quiet heroes of our schools, providing a listening ear, guiding students through challenges and helping to create pathways for success both personally and academically.

We are so lucky to have Sheryl, Geoff, Sara, Michelle and Jessica as part of our Varsity College family! Thank you so much for the incredible impact you have on our students, families and school culture as a whole!

Varsity College and our community pause on the 25th of April each year to remember the courage, honour and sacrifice of those who defend our country – yesterday, today, tomorrow…. always.

This morning, students and staff from across our college will come together as they march in the Robina ANZAC Day Commemoration procession. For those interested in attending, please arrive at Robina Town Centre at 8am in full school uniform, where we will pay our respects and acknowledge the service and sacrifice of our veterans and service personnel.

This time next week, our secondary campus will be cheering on our brave students and staff taking part in the World's Greatest Shave for 2026.

To help raise as much money as possible for the Leukaemia Foundation, some of our wonderful staff have raised their hands to take on fundraising bounties! These include cutting and shaving select staff members, as well as raffling off the chance to bedazzle Mr Gasson!

Our total currently stands at a whopping $10,696 and with the support of our Varsity College community, we believe we can go even further!

At Varsity College, we are excited to be partnering with Raise Foundation to bring their Youth Mentoring Program to our school. Running across Terms 2 and 3, the program will support a targeted group of Year 8 and 9 students to build confidence, resilience, and positive connections.

We’re now looking for mentors in our community who want to make a meaningful impact! By sharing your skills, knowledge and encouragement, you can help guide and inspire a local young person to reach their full potential.

No experience is needed - just a willingness to listen, support and be a positive role model. Full training and ongoing support provided.
