Recently, our Primary Campus held their first instalment of Music on the Green for 2026!

Music on the Green a platform for students to demonstrate their musical talents, such as singing or playing an instrument, to a large and supportive audience, outside under the shade of our playground trees. It also provides a wonderful space for students of all ages to come together as a community to support and encourage their friends and peers!

We loved hearing our students' incredible vocals from this instalment and can’t wait for more musical talent as the term progresses!

This week NAPLAN commenced for 2026, seeing students across our College partake in a range of exams, spanning over two weeks.

We wish all of our participating students the best of luck, we know you will do extremely well!

Recently, our passionate Primary Campus Generation Green students rolled up their sleeves to take part in Clean Up Australia Day with a campus wide clean-up! Together, students worked to remove litter and help make our school grounds look cleaner and more welcoming for everyone.

The initiative is a great way to teach students the importance of caring for their environment and taking responsibility for their waste. Activities like this help build lifelong habits around rubbish reduction and responsible disposal. Thank you to all the students and teachers in making Varsity College an amazing place to work, learn and play in!

Last week at our Primary Leadership Induction Ceremony, we officially swore in our Primary Campus student leaders for 2026.

Congratulations to our 2026 Captains Noa Riley-Van Der Haas, Edward Keys, May Granfar-Liu and Marley Millis, as well as all of our Pillar Leaders, Ambassadors, House captains and Class Representatives!

Today we held our Primary Campus Leadership Induction Ceremony. College Captains, Pillar Leaders, Ambassadors, House Captains, and Class Representatives alike were recognised with the presentation of leadership certificates and badges.

Our Secondary Campus Leaders had the honour of attending to present our new Primary Captains with their blazers, kicking off their journey as part of the Leadership Team.

Congratulations, we can’t wait to see the greatness you all bring to Varsity as leaders in 2026!

Today we’re proud to introduce Mrs Sarah-Jane Tregenza, as she joins the Varsity College family, in the role of our Primary Principal.

Sarah-Jane joins us with over 20 years of experience in Education, 15 of which as a Principal within the Tasmanian Department of Education. Please Join Sarah-Jane as she warmly introduces herself and discusses her core purpose as our new Primary Campus Principal.

This week our Secondary Campus kicked off our MedDent Alumni Masterclass series!

Our students had the pleasure of hearing firsthand about the transition from school to university, expectations of health degrees, and what life is really like studying Paramedicine and Nursing. The honesty, practical advice, and reassurance made a huge impact!

A big thank you to our 2024 Alumni Hayden Lam and Fletcher Harlow, for their support in giving our students a clearer picture of where their goals can take them!
