Before our eagerly awaited Primary Campus Character Parade today, our Aspire Robotics class was fortunate to be able to share their engineered designs with @leonrebellomp.

Students presented their innovation projects for the recent 1st Lego League Rookie competition and demonstrated how their robots navigated through challenges on the competition “field.” They then showcased their robots for the upcoming VEX Queensland Championships, sharing some of the challenges they have overcome in their design and coding.

It was wonderful to be able to share the students amazing achievements with Leon today!

Brodie McGregor Makes Varsity History with NBL Signing.

A huge congratulations to 2025 graduate Brodie McGregor, who has signed a two-year development player contract with the Illawarra Hawks in the NBL!

Fresh from helping the Gold Coast Rollers claim an NBL1 state championship, Brodie impressed at the Hawks’ training camp and now becomes the first player in Varsity College ASPIRE Basketball history to progress to the NBL.

Last week our Primary Campus had the pleasure of welcoming the Honourable John-Paul Langbroek MP, Minister for Education and the Arts, Mr Hermann Vorster Minister for Burleigh, Mrs Julie Warwick QLD Dept of Education Regional Director and members of our P&C for the official opening of our Year 5 & 6 shade structure that was recently completed!

Starting as an incidental conversation between MP Vorster and P&C President Andrea Williams, the governmental $150,000 infrastructure investment in our students’ health and wellbeing is a true testament to what can be achieved when elected officials and community come together.

Our Varsity Vikings recently returned home as National Champions from the Australian Schools Sport Games, showcasing their exceptional talent on the national stage! To make this achievement even more special, two of our students have been selected to represent Australia in Australian School Sport Teams!

Adding to this success and with the athletics representative season culminating in regional trials next week, we would like to shine a spotlight on our very own Age Champions for 2026!

Over the past month, our United Nations Club have been hard at work collecting and sorting donated books for our upcoming inaugural Secondary Campus Book Fair, raising money for the United Nations Children's Fund!

With a wide variety of genres, theres something for everyone and we can't wait to share the collection with our students next week.

UNICEF works across the globe to protect the rights of children and focuses on providing healthcare, clean water, education, and emergency relief. It is 100% donor-funded.

Today our Secondary Campus students took to the courts in the Cross Over Finals of GCSC for 2026, and what a day it was!

After battling it out against the best of the best, 5 of our teams have been crowned as CHAMPIONS! A massive congratulations to all of our students who competed today, showcasing their athletic prowess and pouring their hearts into every game! You should all be incredibly proud of what you have achieved, as we are of you!

Congratulations to our incredible Year 6 Girls Oz Tag team who recently competed in the All Schools Oz Tag Tournament on the Sunshine Coast!

Throughout the tournament, our girls showed outstanding teamwork, determination, resilience and sportsmanship, which all paid off as they emerged undefeated! What a remarkable feat against some of the best school teams in Queensland!

Adding to the celebrations, our very own Amali Staples was named Most Valuable Player in the tournament and selected in the Queensland Merit team alongside her teammates Mia, Lani and Ash from the boys team.

A huge congratulations once again to this outstanding group of girls! We couldn't be prouder. #GoVikings

Recently our Year 7 students headed north for an unforgettable camp experience at Noosa North Shore!

Our students had an incredible time engaging in teamwork and initiative games, archery, fire starting, paddle boarding, and so much more among the beach and bush! Making memories that will last a lifetime, it was truly an unforgettable experience!

A huge thank you to all staff that make this trip such a fantastic success, our students’ memories couldn’t have been possible without you!

Today our Aspire Football athletes represented our College in the final round of the Schools Premier League Competition against Helensvale SHS! After a tough day battling it out on the pitch, our Senior Boys emerged victorious taking home a 4-3 win! Congratulations to all our Vikings for your hard work and dedication on the field, it truly shows.

This game was also a significant occasion, as it was the final school football game for our current Year 12 students. These students have been instrumental in our success over the years and we would like to sincerely thank all of our Seniors for their efforts. Their contribution has helped shape the success and culture of our football program, and we are extremely appreciative of everything they have given over the years!

Last term, Varsity College proudly participated in Robina Town Centre’s "Shop for Your School" campaign. We are thrilled to have been awarded 3rd place, receiving $2,500 to invest in student resources across our Primary Campus!

Recently, representatives from Robina Town Centre visited our college to present the cheque. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our families and community members whose participation helped make this achievement possible!
