3-2-1 SUMO! On the 19th May the Primary ASPIRE Robotics class (Years 4-6) held their annual Sumo Robotics competition.
This was the culmination of 12 weeks of building to showcase their engineering skills and coding to make sure that the robot was completely automated during each match, to attack and defend. It was an action-packed afternoon of squeals, oohs and ahhhs as each team placed their Lego Mindstorm EV3 robot into the Sumo ring to battle in three action packed rounds!
The teams that finished in the top four will now go on to represent our college at Merrimac High School next Monday in the Gold Coast Robotics Competition.
The successful teams are:
- Banana Boys: Eiki, Aabir & Hamish
- Knock Off: Matt, Cooper & Ali
- Target 142: Jordan & Evan
- Ok: Ryan, Mason, Levent & Connor
