Chloe Rodd along with two other students – Alice Li and Kiarnah Whelan from Varsity College were selected in 2023 for the regional exhibition of Creative Generations Excellence Awards in Visual Art which recognises and promotes excellence in senior visual art education throughout Queensland state and non-state schools.
With much excitement we can now share that Chloe Rodd has been selected from the regional exhibition to exhibit at the state Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) in Brisbane in 2024!!!! What a great honour for Chloe and our school to be involved with such a prestigious exhibition.
Excellence awards have been given to 37 students across the state and honoured with the opportunity to be displayed at the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) in Brisbane in 2024. The selected artworks champion the awards purpose to raise community awareness about the degree of sophistication in concepts, diversity of technical competence, and the high standard of visual art education in Queensland secondary schools. Chloe’s pieceexplores the profound impact of the pandemic and recognizes the unique struggles faced by the younger generation.
The central exhibition is scheduled for 27 April to 25 August 2024, this is the pinnacle of the program and excellence awarded.
