Recently, our Year 8 and 9 Aspire Drama students travelled to Jellurgal Cultural Centre to engage with First Nations perspectives, story-telling, artworks and experiences.
Students watched live Aboriginal performances and were taken on a tour to sacred sites where they were told traditional stories. Students even received some ochre painted onto their face and arms by the tour leader.
They were very lucky to be able to learn from the people at Jellurgal and were able to apply their experiences to their upcoming assessment, using a stimulus from the trip.
