Last week, years 8 and 9 Aspire Drama students experienced first hand, the expertise of Sam Foster from Shock Therapy Productions. Sam previously attended the school in 2022 to perform ‘The Apology’ for these students, and on Thursday, the students had the opportunity to partake in a workshop with him centred around clowning and working with roles and tension.
Sam cleverly engaged the students in practical activities where students said they realised how important the ‘little things in movement and performance’ are. They developed short sequences that reinforced clown style characters and produced entertaining pieces for their peers to enjoy.
