The 2019 Book Fair was an absolute success thanks to the support of our Varsity students, teachers and families. The children enjoyed viewing and selecting books from their Wish List, creating Dino-Mite themed class artwork and dressing up as their favourite book character for a day full of fun.
Our Aspire students, assisted by Mrs Hoppitt, organised reading related activities which were held during the week of the Book Fair including Reading on the Rug, Tales from the Chair and First Line competitions. The teachers always love getting into the Book Fair spirit and engaging in some healthy competition with their Year Level costumes. Sunny-Ray from the Gold Coast Suns made a guest appearance at the character costume parade and one of the young Titans players read to some Prep classes to promote the importance of reading.
Thank you to the wonderful teachers and students who further supported the celebrations by performing dances at our Family Fun Event, reading stories to families in the Globe, and assisting with the purchases at our Book Fair in the Library. An extra special mention to our amazing Primary staff band, The One Notes, who entertained families with their wonderful voices and spectacular instrumental skills!
