Recently, we gathered at Chung Tian Temple in Brisbane to celebrate the special occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday Festival. This year, we commemorated the 27th anniversary of this cherished event, accompanied by our enthusiastic students from Varsity College in grades 8, 9, and 12. For our graduating Grade 12s, it was a poignant moment as they bid farewell to this tradition.
The festivities were vibrant with an array of engaging activities including calligraphy, painting, lion dancing, tea ceremony, Taichi, traditional Taiwanese dancing, diabolo, paper cutting, and origami. Witnessing our students immerse themselves in these cultural experiences not only fostered a deeper understanding of Chinese heritage but also filled the day with joy and camaraderie.
