After a weather delay our students, led by Generation Green, got into the spirit of Clean Up Australia Day.
This enthusiastic group of eco conscious students took time today to scour the grounds for rubbish then undertook a waste audit. The audit enables us to identify key items of refuse around our grounds and enact change to reduce the incidence of these items in our daily use.
Our Partners In Education, The Robina Lions Club, in conjunction with key VC supporter Cr Hermann Vorster, were also subject to a weather delay with their Clean Up Australia Day plans.
They have postponed the ‘Clean and Green’ initiative to Sunday 20 March, which will be the perfect opportunity to come together with our VC community.
This day encourages us to gather at the Robina Community Club at 10am to collect your gloves and bags, then head onto the Robina Bowls Club for a free sausage sizzle and free barefoot bowls at 11:30am.
However you choose to recognise this national program, we are so grateful for the beautiful region we live in and the continued efforts to retain and improve upon our local environment.
