‘Creature Feature’ Experience by Numinbah Valley Environmental Education Centre

Last week on our Primary Campus, our prep students engaged in an educational ‘Creature Feature’ experience by Numinbah Valley Environmental Education Centre. Students interacted with a variety of native Australian animals (primarily reptiles) to develop an appreciation for the unique wildlife in Australia.

Through this engaging experience, they identify the basic needs of various reptiles, recognising their similarities and differences.By observing each animal and noting their features, students describe the habitats where these animals live and explore how they grow and change over time. Discussions on the care requirements of the reptiles allow students to compare these with common pets they might have at home.
