This year, the UN Club and Academic Pillar collaborated to host our first ever Secondary Campus Book Fair as part of our annual UNICEF fundraising initiative. During Term 3, we saw an amazing response from our Varsity Community who were encouraged to donate preloved books, overflowing the shelves in the DLC.
From Tuesday to Thursday of Week 6, students and teachers were able to browse the shelves and purchase books for a gold coin donation. We also ran our highly anticipated sausage sizzle on Wednesday, where everything sold out before the end of break!
Overall, we were able to raise almost $2000 for children in need, hitting our goal for the year. Thank you to everyone that was involved, volunteered their time or donated either through buying a book, a sausage or directly with the QR code!!
