Au revoir Paris, hello London! We travelled on the Eurostar from Gare du Nord to St Pancras station, and were very excited to experience the streets of London! Today was Heath’s birthday, and to celebrate, we started exploration with a visit to the Tower of London where we saw the Crown Jewels, and learned about the varied and multiple uses of the tower throughout history. We then took a stroll along the Thames, visited St Paul’s Cathedral before making our was to Westminster on a double decker bus ride. Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey finished off with a traditional pub dinner – steak and ale pie, peas and a premier league football match on the big screen (and a round of soft drinks and birthday cake to celebrate Heath’s birthday)! It was a wonderful start to our time in London 🙂
