Our final day! And what better way to spend it than sightseeing in Central London. We had a late start to allow time for packing and getting ready for the trip home, but soon enough we were on our way to Buckingham Palace. We then took a stroll through Green Park (pausing to ooh and aah at all the squirrels!) on our way to Oxford Street for some more shopping (no photos of this – they were too keen to get shopping!). This was our final activity before we had to make our way to the hotel and onto the airport. We said our farewells and huge thank yous to our tour guide Theresia (who was amazing) before boarding out flights home to our loved ones.
What an amazing trip we had – step count was over 140000, but those steps have taken us down cobbled streets in Europe’s largest town square, along the railway lines of former a concentration camp, through medieval castles, across a snow covered glacier, along the Champs Elysees and the halls of the Louvre, up the Eiffel Tower, past the graves of our fallen soldiers, along the banks of the River Thames, through Westminster, exploring the magical world of Harry Potter and the streets of the West End. Thank you to all of the staff and students for making this the trip of a lifetime.
