Varsity College Maths Aspire classes competed in the 2021 Australasian Problem Solving Mathematical Olympiads with great success.
Overall, our year 6 team placed seventh in Queensland – an amazing result which earns the team a plaque for Outstanding Achievement. Individually, Joseph Z, Ian Kim, Jan F and Atharva Nalawadi scored in the top 2% of competitors.
Susan Ahn, Maurice J, Ian Ahn, Hunter J, Liam Kapi, Oisin Butron-McLean and Saskia Knevitt all scored in the top 10% as did B C from year 5. A further fifteen students finished in the top 25%.
Joseph Z received a letter of congratulations along with a medal for achieving a perfect score for the competition, one of only four students in Queensland to do so.
