In Term 3, Varsity College’s premiere Primary campus String Orchestra, the Acacia String Ensemble, were invited to perform in the Fanfare State Final in Brisbane.
This is the most prestigious event of the year for Instrumental Music in State Schools, where only five primary school music ensembles are showcased as being the most outstanding from across Queensland.
Having worked hard towards this performance, Acacia Strings enjoyed a very special day, rehearsing and performing on stage at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.
They received adjudication from three highly respected Australian professional musicians and experienced a milestone achievement, performing on a professional concert hall stage.
