On 20th of May, 17 students from Years 9 to 11 who are members of Generation Green went to Numinbah Valley Environmental Education Centre. There, we planted 121 plants in a 5-year program to revegetate the environmental corridor between Lamington and Springbrook National Parks. Additionally, we used power tools to build 9 nesting boxes to provide homes for many different native species who inhabit the region. Overall, it was an amazing day where we even learnt a bunch about the First Nations custodians and how they connected to the land before colonisation. Thank you Mr. Hughes for supporting this endeavour.
