On Harmony Day, our College celebrated the importance of Australia’s cultural diversity by encouraging inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
All students were invited to wear international dress or an orange t-shirt and our fabulous team in the tuckshop offered a delicious international food menu. The wearing of orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect.
Individual classes committed to the Varsity College pledge by adding each child’s handprint and a kind message. Harmony Day helps to ensure that our classrooms, our playgrounds and our wider environment are safe for everyone. It is integral to our positive school culture.
