Earlier this Term, a group of 8 students and 2 staff attended the 2025 International Summit in Florida. Students engaged in a homestay opportunity where they immersed themselves in American culture and school life. There were 15 different countries and over 150 students/teachers involved in the Summit. Students went to the Everglades National Park, a Miami Heat Game, and South Florida Fair, and also participated in many valuable experiences such as class shadowing, cultural showcase and wacky Olympics.
Overall, the students were exceptional representatives of Varsity College and were able to learn a lot about the importance of global connectedness and cultural understanding.
A special thank you as well to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary for providing our students with free tickets to take photos and learn about Australian wildlife in preparation for their trip!
