Leon Rebello MP Visits Aspire Robotics

Before our eagerly awaited Primary Campus Character Parade today, our Aspire Robotics class was fortunate to be able to share their engineered designs with Leon Rebello MP.

Students presented their innovation projects for the recent 1st Lego League Rookie competition and demonstrated how their robots navigated through challenges on the competition “field.” They then showcased their robots for the upcoming VEX Queensland Championships, sharing some of the challenges they have overcome in their design and coding.

The Varsity College Aspire Robotics Program was established to provide students with opportunities to extend their learning in Digital Technologies and Design Technologies through robotics, coding, engineering design and innovation. The program allows students to apply classroom learning in authentic contexts while developing problem-solving, collaboration and critical thinking skills.

It was wonderful to be able to share the students amazing achievements with Leon today!
