As part of mental health week, Secondary Campus students joined in on the Mindful Monday program of experiencing yoga.
Yoga is an ancient practice that aims to unite the mind, body and spirit. Students connected with their senses, breath (pranayama)and body and gently moved, participating in neck and shoulder exercises (asana) to help alleviate stress in the body by consciously working on their nervous system.
We all need to prioritise our mental and physical health. Yoga has evidenced base research to show the benefits that can be gained by practising regularly and improving our wellbeing.
