Our Beautiful Butterfly Garden

Our Primary Campus Butterfly Garden is wonderful place where students can plant seeds, watch them grow into beautiful plants, read in this peaceful space, observe a variety of insects that live here, watch caterpillars turn into chrysalis and then butterflies, watch the native bees, sit and talk with their friends.

Our amazing volunteers Bob, Bernadette and Christine from the Robina Lions visit on Mondays, educating the students about the native plants, planting, weeding and sharing memories of their lives. Our students look forward to talking and learning from our fantastic volunteers every week!

Emma from our P&C is constantly weeding and pruning the garden so that it is a wonderful place for everyone to experience, purchase equipment for the students to use whilst in the garden such as garbage pickers, gardening tools, seeds to plant and vests for the students to wear.

Classes use this outdoor teaching space to enjoy their brain break, read books and enjoy learning in an outdoor area. This beautiful garden is open for students to use three times a week at morning tea break. It is wonderful to see the smiling faces enter the garden and so excited to share what they find and how this place makes them feel. It is a safe place for all students to visit!
