We have the honour of announcing that 3 of our Year 12 Visual Art students have been selected to represent Varsity College at Creative Generations this year!
A huge congratulation goes to Timur Spiridonov, Isabella Porter and Sienna Phillips-Parker. These exceptionally talented students have created artworks that connect and communicate current issues with their audiences. The exhibition will be at Kirra Hill Cultural and Community centre from October 21st to 24th (Tuesday to Friday) 9am to 4.30pm.
The Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art recognise and promote excellence in senior visual art education throughout Queensland state and non-state schools since 1990. The program has helped raise community awareness of the degree of sophistication in concepts, diversity of technical competence, and the high standard of visual art education in Queensland secondary schools.
Submissions will be judged by the State Selection Panel and awards will be announced at conclusion of the exhibition on Saturday the 25th of October. We will be excited to see how our students go with the next stage of selection and commendation.
