Prep NAIDOC Celebration

On Tuesday our youngest students were visited by members of the Deadly Choices team as part of their NAIDOC themed end of Term celebrations. Prep students were treated to a variety of traditional Indigenous games and activities throughout the morning.

This year’s NAIDOC theme is Heal Country. As a college, we are working together to embrace and respect the culture and values of all Australians equally.

Healing Country means hearing those pleas to provide greater management, involvement, and empowerment by Indigenous peoples… embracing First Nation’s cultural knowledge and understanding as part of Australia’s national heritage.”
“Country is inherent to our identity. It sustains our lives in every aspect – spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, and culturally…”

We look forward to continuing our NAIDOC celebrations in Week 1 of Term 3.
