Our Year 9 Aspire Drama students participated in the QLD Theatre’s Scene Project, which concluded yesterday at HOTA. Varsity College performed a student devised and directed 15 min piece from Flowers in Antarctica, which included beautiful ensemble movement sequences, use of torch light and colour light effects in blackout, incredible character acting, comedy moments and breathtaking stage imagery.
The students then viewed performances from 3 other schools and finally the professional production of the same play. Students were a credit to the school as they congratulated, cheered and supported all other students from across the Gold Coast, making new friends and a lot of incredible memories from a fantastic day.
