We were once again delighted to welcome Cr Hermann Vorster of Division 11 to join us for School’s Tree Day.
Each year Cr Vorster’s office provides all of our primary campus families with a native tree to plant at home to promote regeneration as part of Planet Ark’s National Tree Day, Australia’s largest community tree planting and nature protection event.
In these COVID times, this initiative is also promoting the mental health benefits of taking time to get your hands dirty and spending time in nature, a fortunate bonus of National Tree Day.
Thank you to our senior leaders, eco warriors and Cr Vorster for a smooth teamwork effort in beginning the distribution of these 1200 plants to our eager students.
We hope all of our primary families enjoy the divine weather this weekend to get outside and nurture their new garden addition.
