Last week, we held our Principal’s Assemblies across our Secondary campus, celebrating the incredible range of achievements and positive initiatives happening within our school community.
These assemblies provided a special opportunity for Mrs Woolnough to recognise students who exemplify our core values—Wisdom, Courage, Compassion, Integrity, and Citizenship—with five students from each year level receiving awards based on teacher nominations. We also heard from our Pillar leaders about the wonderful activities happening across our areas of Academic, Community, Cultural and Sporting, as well as featuring special guest and our 2024 College Dux, Mia Bitzios!
The assemblies also featured a light-hearted and heartfelt segment where teachers shared reflections and lessons from their own teenage years, taking us all on a brief journey down memory lane.
During this event, we also had the honour of welcoming Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ), to present us with a plaque and hard hat to acknowledge our brand new partnership: ‘Building and Construction Gateways school for 2025 – 2027’.
We concluded by celebrating the many students who have actively engaged with our Positive Rewards program, Vikcoin, with a number of exciting prizes awarded.
Thank you to all who contributed to making these assemblies such a memorable and meaningful celebration of student success.
