Congratulations to Year 5 student Sienna Roy, who brought home an impressive haul of medals from the 2023 Australian Gymnastics Championship.
The GC Sports and Leisure Centre welcomed over 1300 competitors from across the country to compete in Trampoline, Rhythmic, Aerobic and Acrobatic disciplines. Sienna received a bronze medal for cub, two silver medals for her ball routine and individual performance, and an incredible gold for attaining state team status.
As one of only two competitors to be recognised with an Artistry Award in her events, such success doesn’t come without great effort, putting in 5 days a week of training to reach her goals.
Sienna is already looking to the 2024 National Championships where she is eyeing first place overall for her three routines of hoop, freehand and ball.
A huge congratulations to Sienna and we will certainly be cheering her on to success in 2024.
