Yesterday Varsity ASPIRE Football hosted PBC and Mabel Park SHS in the first round of the ISC Cup. The ISC Cup is for Senior students and is a knock out competition played in South East Queensland.
After a positive start against PBC in our first game we end regulation time in a 2 all draw and went straight to penalties with Varsity prevailing as eventual winners, 5-4.
In the our second game against a very enthusiastic Mabel Park SHS the boys created multiple opportunities and took an early lead and went on to win 3 – 1.
This now sees our Senior boys progress into the next round early next term.
Well done to all the boys today on a very positive step forward for football here at Varsity College.
