Year 7 & 10 ADP Camp at Runaway Bay

Our recent Athlete Development Program Camp, held at the Gold Coast Performance Centre in Runaway Bay, was a tremendous success! Year 7 and Year 10 students participated in a variety of activities that fostered leadership and sport development. A unique mentorship program paired each Year 10 student with a Year 7 student, enhancing the overall camp experience for all!

Throughout the camp, participants engaged in activities such as boxercise, spin classes, archery, stand-up paddleboarding, beach games, gym fitness sessions, and an invigorating aqua bootcamp. The camp culminated in an exciting triathlon, showcasing the skills and determination of our young athletes.

Adding to the inspiration, we were honoured to host two extraordinary guest speakers: Ellie Beer, an athlete currently competing in the Paris Olympics, and Bonnie Hancock, who recently completed an incredible 13,000 km paddle around Australia on a water ski. Their stories left a lasting impact on our students, motivating them to strive for greatness in both sports and life.

In their downtime, students loved playing beach volleyball, basketball, and touch rugby, making the most of their time at the beautiful Gold Coast Performance Centre facilities.

Overall, the camp was an unforgettable experience filled with growth, camaraderie, and inspiration. We encourage our students to carry forward the lessons learned and the bonds formed, using them as a foundation for their future endeavours. As they continue to develop both as athletes and leaders, we are confident they will achieve remarkable things!
