Introducing Nulah

Hi boys and girls,
I am sure you have seen Aaron and his canine companion Harry who have come in each Wednesday to assist our students with their learning.

Well, happily for Harry, Harry has reached the stage of life when he can retire from being a guide dog and spend his days eating and lazing in the sun.

Please do not be too sad though because I want to introduce you to the new dog on campus, me. My name is Nulah and I will be taking over from Harry on Wednesdays from next week.

You will see Aaron and me, Nulah, (not Harry) working on the campus. In addition, let me just say I am looking forward to working at Varsity Primary, as Harry has told me it is a great school and all my dog friends are sooo jealous of me.

I suppose you would like to know a little about me. Well, I am cute, very playful and cuddly although there are a few things I must remind staff and students of when they see me.

As a guide dog, I am training to help handlers. I help them getting on and off modes of public transport safely while remembering I have to behave in public spaces.

It is important when you see me you never feed me, pat me or distract me when I am in my coat or harness. While I am terribly cute, I cannot be the centre of attention. Please speak to my handler who will be happy to introduce you to me.

I am looking forward to seeing you week five.

Woof!

Nulah
