Earlier this week, Generation Green welcomed several hundred new inhabitants to our Secondary Campus: the bees in our brand new, bee-autiful, native bee hive! Our new inhabitants are ‘Tetragonula hockingsi’ a species of small stingless bee’s native to Australia and primarily found in Queensland.
This initiative is intended to contribute to the sustainability of our campus, by providing native bees (upon which Australian ecosystem health heavily relies on) a home.
This acquisition took place with the support of our Executive Principal, as well as the dogged pursuit by two dedicated Generation Green students from both Year 9 and our recently graduated Class of 2025!
