Last week our Year 6 and Year 11 students came together for the cross-campus Buddy Program, an initiative designed to strengthen connections between our Junior and Secondary students!
The program provides Year 6 students with the opportunity to meet and collaborate with a Year 11 buddy, who will become a Year 12 mentor when they transition into high school in 2026. These relationships are built to offer guidance, encouragement and support, helping our younger students feel more confident as they take the next step in their schooling journey.
Throughout the morning on our Secondary Campus, students engaged in a range of activities including carnival games, team-building challenges and making friendship bracelets. The focus was on working together, building trust and forming meaningful friendships that will continue to grow in the years ahead.
The Buddy Program is a wonderful way to celebrate leadership, connection and community at Varsity College, and we are proud of the positive impact it is already having on both our Year 6 and Year 11 students!
