Words can’t explain how proud the Varsity Vikings community is of the students who recently competed at the Australian Youth (13, 14 & 15 yrs) Surf Lifesaving Championships on the Sunshine Coast.
The two-day competition, consisting of over 2500 of the best lifesavers in the country, along with big swells, made for a very eventful weekend of racing.
Special mention to the below three amazing athletes who were crowned Australian Individual Champions, while winning three out of a possible six individual events. In addition to this, having all three from Varsity College (and hanging out each day together outside the sports hall) is a tremendous feat that is unmatched by any other school in Australia for Surf Lifesaving results.
Ryne Spence – U15 Australian Ironwoman 🥇

Imogen Dowker – U15 Australian Surf race 🥇

Kingston – U15 Australian Board race 🏅

All three athletes represented three different clubs in their pursuit of success, but all three are Yr 10 Varsity Viking students.
